Our Client
Is a leading manufacturer with a broad portfolio of products supplying the entire UK market. The industry can be described as heavy manufacturing but any background will be considered for the role of Process Engineer.
The Role
The successful individual will be responsible for changing processes and systems relating to process efficiency, effectiveness, quality and yield. It is a role that will be offering operational support and guidance to multiple factory locations in material development and optimisation. It will encompass process engineering activities such as plant optimisation trials to reduce over use of raw materials for example and certainly be involved in pilot plant to scale up activities. Finally, there will be a close bond with the quality department in relation to control plans and the implementation of CI tools to enhance performance (RCA, FMEA etc).
The Person
You will be an experienced process engineering professional from the manufacturing industry. Your qualifications are likely (but not essentially) to be technical in nature, for instance Chemical Engineering or Materials Science with vocational training gained in continuous improvement and project management. The important aspects aside from good technical skills are a positive attitude and a willingness to improve the plants performance and effectiveness through engaging personnel.
