Job Description:
Join Lactalis at our plant in Eastern Cape Port Elizabeth and take on an exciting opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in an FMCG operational environment. You will be handling the products received and dispatched by stores.
Required Skills:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Diplomas or Certificates
- Official Stock Training
- At least 3 years’ experience in a maintenance environment
- Computer Literacy
- Must be physically strong and fit
- Must be able to do basic calculations
- Good communication skills
- Strong administration skills
- Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays when required
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and send spares/goods as needed
- Receive orders on BPCS
- Keep important information updated on the computer
- Assist in keeping Pragma information updated and functioning properly
- Assist in problem-solving regarding invoices and credit applications
- Stock control in the lubrication, motor, pipe, and general spares stores
- Manage stock of critical spares
- Ensure correct assignment of stock
- Maintain availability of general spares
- Assist the maintenance planner with shutdowns and projects
- Ensure that replacement spares specifications are the same as original
- Budget control
- Facilitate communication between customer and supplier
- Purchase consumables
- Manage stock reorder levels
- Responsible for direct and indirect purchases
- Manage key suppliers
- Address account queries
- Critically manage stores budget
- Manage inventories balance sheet
- Coordinate teams’ efforts
- Conduct monthly stock-taking and variances reports
- Manage shop wear workflows, job cards, spares issued, and open orders
