Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered yellow metal equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify faults.
- Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts usage.
- Complete job cards and service reports in a timely manner.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure all work areas and tools are kept clean and safe.
- Work collaboratively with operators, engineers, and other team members.
- Provide technical support and training when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on yellow metal machinery.
- Proven track record of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, electrical circuits, and engine diagnostics.
- Valid driver's license (Code 14 advantageous).
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on call when necessary.
- Physically fit to perform the duties required.
