NACOSA is looking for a suitable Temp Recruitment Officer to implement and deliver on NACOSA’s Recruitment and Selection Strategy. This role supports the implementation of effective, efficient, and fair recruitment processes, while striving to identify top talent in the market, to meet NACOSA’s growing and changing operational needs, and support NACOSA’s Strategy.
The duties and responsibilities of the Recruitment Officer will include but are not limited to:
- Administer the end-to-end recruitment process, from vacancy verification, advertising, shortlisting, screening, and interviewing, to offer stage
- Work with a sound understanding of NACOSA’s grants and operations, to provide appropriate fit-for-purpose advice and support during the recruitment process
- Effectively manage a large recruitment portfolio independently (more than 10-15 role profiles, with potentially multiple head requirements per role, up to 30-50 heads in total if bulk recruitment is required)
- Understand and effectively operate online platforms, including NACOSA’s Applicant Tracking System, and Online Advertisement Platforms (such as LinkedIn, NGO Pulse/Sango Net, etc.)
- Be able to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines using prioritizing, and keeping line management informed of progress
- Engage in targeted talent sourcing practices, such as sourcing CVs, cold calling, or headhunting candidates when needed
- Create and regularly update NACOSA’s talent pool database, to ensure effective management of applications received
- Manage the candidate experience to ensure a positive candidate experience that will uphold NACOSA’s reputation
- Ensure all Recruitment and Selection Processes complies with the requirements of the Labour Relations and Employment Equity Acts
- Comply with NACOSA’s HR Policies, including the policy for Recruitment, Selection and Appointment
- Support NACOSA’s Transformation Strategy, ensuring all recruitment processes are fair, and allow equal access and opportunity to individuals from previously disadvantaged communities
- Be willing to support the general HR team with day-to-day operational tasks as and when may be needed, and in turn access support from the team as required
Required qualifications, skills, and experience:
- A Post Matric qualification (NQF 4+) in Human Resources or Equivalent (highly advantageous)
- A solid track record (3 years +) in Recruitment and Selection, including bulk recruitment experience (non-negotiable)
- Experience in NGO / Public Health, or related industries (highly advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
