Join Hire Resolve client as a Junior Civil Engineer in Knysna, WC! We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual to support our clients in delivering high-quality civil engineering projects.
In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and construction managers, assisting with project planning, site supervision, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
- Support project planning and scheduling
- Coordinate site activities and ensure adherence to timelines
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients and contractors
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Conduct site surveys and inspections
- Help manage resources and materials effectively
- Identify and address unexpected project challenges
- Participate in safety inspections and compliance checks
- Attend regular site meetings and report on progress
Requirements:
- BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or relevant advanced diploma
- 2 years of experience in civil engineering projects
- 1 year experience in Autocad civil 3D
- Basic understanding of engineering codes and standards
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm for learning and career development
