A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team in Liverpool.
The main objective of the role is to deliver the day-to-day commercial management requirements of a national utilities framework.
Key Duties
- Managing a small team of junior commercial staff, driving team efficiency and performance.
- Putting in place, and ensuring a robust schedule of activities is put in place, delivering monthly outputs both internally and externally with the client.
- Producing and presenting reports on monthly trading accounts, including variance analysis and KPI reporting, ensuring these are in line with agreed SLA and reporting deadlines.
- Ensuring that internal monthly reconciliation exercises are complete and reported, as well as ensuring client commercial reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Obtaining and interpreting data, and taking a proactive role in helping the senior leadership team understand financial information.
- Ensuring subcontractors are paid in line with agreements, as well as ensuring payroll is processed accurately.

Responsible for delivering the roll out of a national energy framework contract providing smart meters to upwards of 225,000 homes and businesses over the next 12 months, worth £35m+ to the business.
Leading a small commercial team, providing them with mentorship and driving their performance whilst working collaboratively with other sections of the overall framework team to deliver the contract for the client.
You will be interfacing upstream to the client and senior stakeholders internally, as well as downstream to operational teams day-to-day, driving and reporting on contract performance.
Candidate Requirements
Our client is looking for Commercial Managers looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.
Minimum of 10 years' commercial experience supporting the delivery of infrastructure or general civil engineering frameworks or projects.
Proven ability to lead small commercial teams, and also build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.
