Established Investment Group is looking to employ a Systems Engineer that will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the computer infrastructure and networks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance
- Identifying and resolving system-related issues
- Ensuring system uptime and availability.
- Design, configure and maintain computer systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Install and configure system hardware and software, including operating systems, databases, and virtualization technologies (VMWare) and storage arrays.
- Manage and configure system users and user groups, as well as system permissions and access controls.
- Plan and implement system upgrades and migrations.
- Microsoft Azure administration and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Certifications : Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in systems engineering
- Experience with system design, implementation, and maintenance and cloud computing.
- Knowledge of system security concepts and protocols.
- Skills: load balancers; Veeam; Cisco; Linux and Kubernetes
- Systems knowledge: VMWare and Microsoft Azure
