We are seeking a professional and dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Stellenbosch. This role is pivotal in leading HR Activities, driving a positive employee experience, championing our values and culture, within the Stellenbosch and Cape Town locations.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of, and implement, MSCI global and regional policies and procedures, tailoring to local requirements where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations in all aspects of the management of our people in your designated business groups.
- Manage policies and procedures to ensure that they support MSCI's strategic goals and culture.
- Provide advice and expertise to employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes and good practice.
- Provide support, advice and guidance to all levels of locally based employees.
- Proactively provide feedback to management concerning morale, motivation and people at risk, and recommend solutions.
- Manage all aspects of the Year End process for client groups to ensure that annual reviews, comp decisions and promotions are successfully completed.
- Resolve and respond to ad hoc & personal related queries.
- Contact and reporting to local labour authorities, manage contracts and daily cooperation with HR and benefits vendors.
- Participate in HRG projects as needed and assigned. Collaborate with HRG peers globally to deliver on the HRG roadmap.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by line manager.
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in business, human resources or related field.
- Solid experience of 7+ years in providing HR generalist support in a private sector environment. Financial Services/Professional Services experience preferred.
- Excellent language skills. Fluent oral and written skills required in English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Approachable, credible and can adopt a flexible approach.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Discretion and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues.
- Ability to follow through on issues, use good judgment and provide solutions.
- Well organized, thorough and good attention to detail.
