Accounts Payable Officer (temp-to-perm)

Work arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site)
Day rate: 140 - 150 (dependent on experience) - via Umbrella Company (Inside IR35)
Duration: 2-3 months, potential temp-to-perm
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently partnered with a prestigious institution based in central London, seeking a dynamic and meticulous Accounts Payable Officer. The role requires an individual who can work independently, manage a full spectrum of Accounts Payable tasks, and support the smooth operation of the finance function.
Role Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Process (Apply online only) invoices per week, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- AP Inbox Management: Monitor and respond to emails in the Accounts Payable inbox.
- Expenses & Credit Card Transactions: Handle processing of employee expenses and credit card statements.
- Supplier Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
- Financial Entries: Identify and process prepayments, accruals, and capital expenditure (CapEx) invoices.
Skills / Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience managing the entire AP function independently is preferred.
- Ideally an understanding of all AP areas, including prepayments, accruals, and CapEx.
- At least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written communication, particularly for drafting clear, professional emails.
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks and organise workload effectively with minimal supervision.
