A group with an inhouse system that runs all their businesses from Life Insurance to Unit Trusts including bringing Impact Farming to Utilities Management. This modern and versatile system is their pride and secret sauce of their success. The Data Analyst/Engineer to join this team will be expected to interact with various stakeholders including business owners, project managers and our partners (IOT, ML, ICT).
Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis:
o Gather, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
o Utilize statistical methods to interpret data and generate meaningful reports.
Reporting and Visualization:
o Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
o Communicate complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner.
Data Quality Assurance:
o Implement and maintain data quality processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data discrepancies and issues.
Database Engineering/Management:
o Work with MSSQL databases to extract, transform, and load data as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst / Engineer with 5 years experience.
Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages. (Importantly Microsoft T-SQL).
Experience with data visualisation tools.
Industry-specific knowledge in finance is not necessary but will be beneficial.
