POST: Lecturer: Safety in Society (2 Posts)
SALARY: R256 395.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits
DURATION: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric certificate/NCV L4 plus an appropriate M+3 Qualification (National diploma/ bachelor’s Degree in Policing/Criminology/Law/Criminal Justice).
- Must have a professional qualification in Education.
- SACE registration.
- Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- 1-year teaching experience in Safety in Society L2-L4 will be an added advantage.
- Assessor/Moderator qualification will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Legislation governing the sector.
DUTIES:
- The incumbent will be responsible for teaching L2-L4 Safety in Society.
- Preparing assessment and moderation.
- Conducting assessments and marking of tasks.
- Conducting of ISAT.
- Preparation of file (POA & POE).
- Record keeping (recording of marks) and lesson planning.
- Conduct classes on the above-mentioned subjects.
- Organize relevant curricular activities to ensure that the subject, learning area of the learners are conducted in a proper manner.
- Assess and record the attainment of learners.
- Assist with the issuing and retrieval of textbooks and management of equipment.
- Organize experiential training for students.
- Report and account for student performance in their programmes.
- Record and report on absenteeism and perform other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning.
