CORE FUNCTIONS
To offer guidance and assistance to an Academic Programme Leader with regards to a specific academic program. This position entails a variety of responsibilities geared toward ensuring the student success and academic excellence of the program, as well as assisting with the broader school with initiatives towards the growth of students and the institution. Furthermore, the position requires commitment towards supporting the management of a program, which will include the subsequent facets:
- Program Management and Leadership
- Program Planning and Administration
- Program Admission and Delivery
- Stakeholder Engagement, Development, and Recognition
- Program Intelligence
- Programme Governance
- Programme Cycle Reviews and Programme Improvement
CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Programme Management and Leadership (within the confines of MANCOSA’s vision, mission, and strategy)
- Coordinate the development and continuous improvement of programme teaching and learning and the programme assessment strategy
- Assist with measuring graduate attributes through coordination between the APL and students
- Assist with research on opportunities to advance the school's programme offering and strategy
- Programme Planning and Administration in collaboration with Institutional Planning
- Liaise with academic administrators regarding academic readiness
- Create and monitor academic administrators progress trackers
- Assist the Academic Programme Leader (APL) with recruitment and appointment of suitable academic deliverables
- Facilitate webinars
- Coordinate Community Engagement initiatives and activities
- Assist with planning and coordination of academic events for internal and external staff
- Align students with Programme specific career guidance in collaboration with Career Centre
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to request information on Student assessment performance
- Assist the APL with programme benchmarking and development of new programmes
- Assist with identification and intervention for students at risk
- Assist with module content review and update
- Coordinate data and reports for internal and external quality assurance efforts
QUALIFICATION
- Essential qualification: Master’s degree specialising in international business (NQF Level 9)
ESSENTIAL
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in higher Education/ Academic
