Underline Ventures is a venture capital seed fund that partners at the earliest stages with Eastern European founders building high-growth startups with global ambitions.
We help founders define the right strategy, milestones, and priorities in their company's journey from seed to series A, and support them in connecting with capital and talent, under their terms.
We're a fund with the spirit of a startup run by professionals with deep roots and experience in the Eastern European technology and venture landscape. We launched Underline Ventures in 2022 and in 2023 we just closed our 20 million USD fund, but we have been investing, and building startup programs or companies for over a decade. We are still at the beginning of our journey and have many more things to build together.
What will you do?
As an Investment Analyst Intern, you’ll connect with some of the most exciting Eastern European startups and help our General Partner and Principal identify the ones that match our investment criteria. You’ll also support the decision-making and investment process and the startups in the fund’s portfolio.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- You will assist in the venture capital investment process. Contribute to the identification of investment prospects, review pitch decks, perform due diligence on prospective companies, research industries, and competitors
- You will be supporting the decision-making process with market research and analysis on a particular sector, technology, or business. Activities can include financial and analytics modelling, testing products, and generating sector/technology/ business overview
- You will support other operational activities, including marketing, fund administration, recruitment, and event planning
Who are you?
We are excited to collaborate with hard-working, technology-interested, ambitious people who are ready for a deeply meaningful internship opportunity. We appreciate intellectual curiosity and raw initiative, and we’re looking for pirates rather than marines.
You have:
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a computer science, finance, economics, or related field
- A genuine interest in how startups and venture capital work
- Great attention to detail, drive to research different topics
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a proactive and self-motivated approach
- Passion for high-quality work and the ability to relentlessly pursue continuous improvement
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
