About the role We are looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in managing marketing campaigns, content creation, events, and social media management. Reporting to the Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management and Content Creation.
- Brand Development and Customer Engagement
- Event Support:
- Research on industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies.
- Planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content for Merchas social media platforms.
- Help manage the social media presence for artist merchandise collections, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies that boost follower engagement and sales.
- Coordinate shoots with artists and models.
- Support the Marketing Manager with daily operations and assist in executing key marketing initiatives.
- Monitor social media trends and gather insights for campaign performance.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster an active community.
- Support with influencer outreach and partnerships to promote Mercha collections.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on social media metrics and performance data.
- Contribute to the brainstorming and ideation process for new marketing campaigns.
Requirements
Matric Certificate
Qualification in Marketing
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a farm setting.
Creative and Innovative in bringing Marketing ideas.
Ability to communicate effectively, especially if engaging with the local community/customers or participating in educational activities.
Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design tools (advantageous).
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
