The Director of Operations reports to the Managing Director and will have overall responsibility for the company's effective operations including Finance, Supply Chain and Human Resources.
Key responsibilities:
Supply Chain Operations
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimize procurement, production, and distribution processes.
- Monitor and manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and overall business objectives
Financial Management
- Manage and coordinate all company finance-related activities and resources including asset control, profit control, and internal control.
- Maintain risk management, and statutory compliance
- Oversee financial reporting (including management reporting and shareholder reporting)
Human Resources
- Ensuring compliance with labour laws & regulations including health and safety rules.
- Build positive relationships with employees, and improving employee satisfaction and productivity.
- Manage compensation and benefits packages.
- Support employee training and development needs
- Managing equity, diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Assisting group BBBEE efforts.
Competencies and experience:
- At least 5 years experience at senior-level general, financial or operational management
- Strong financial acumen
- Multi industry experience and ability to build customer relationships
- Strategic mindset with a strong drive to implement and collaborate
- Proven people leader
- Suitable higher level degree or qualification
