We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exploring and unpacking complex data sets to make informed business recommendations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities through reengineering processes, data flows, and insights.
- Develop data-driven solutions to improve the client experience.
- Collect, transform, and analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business goals and objectives.
- Design and implement data visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality by performing ongoing data validation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices.
- Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices in business intelligence, data analysis, infonomics, automation, and visualization.
- Help create a culture that promotes data-driven decisions backed by investigation and collaboration around data.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Certification in data warehousing, business intelligence, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and SQL.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Banking sector (preferably).
- Understanding of project management methodologies and experience with project management tools such as Jira.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical skills:
- Proficient in using data visualization tools such as Power BI (Desktop and Cloud Service) + Power Query Editor.
- Strong SQL skills for querying large and complex data sets.
- Experience with data warehousing.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
- Preferably have AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
- Experience in process automation using tools such as Power Automate, AgilePoint, Power Apps, UiPath, or Alteryx.
- Ability to use scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
- Knowledge of AutoML using Power BI or AWS Sagemaker.
- Advanced functions and concepts in Power BI DAX.
- Version Control (Git) and Microsoft productivity suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint).
