An opportunity exists for a Financial Accountant to join a medium-sized well-established accounting and audit firm on a permanent basis.
The appointee will be responsible for performing various accounting functions for various clients.
Duties:
- Monthly accounting and processing up to trial balance.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monthly journal entries.
- Responsible for calculating and submission of VAT, PAYE, and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of year-end schedules to support the preparation of annual financial statements as well as other admin duties.
- Assisting and being involved in other accounting and non-accounting tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting will be an advantage.
- Professional registration will be a major benefit.
- 3 – 6 years Accounting Practice Environment experience.
- Proficiency in Pastel / VIP payroll accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented.
- Work efficiently under pressure.
- Own transport.
Salary: R20,000 to R30,000 / month negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.
