Job title: Leasehold Officer
Pay Rate: 13.94 - 15.45 (PAYE) or 18.41 - 20.40 (Umbrella) per hour
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Brentwood Borough Council
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Assignment Duration: 3 months with potential permanent post

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage leaseholder service charge accounts.
- Monitor income and take appropriate action to recover outstanding debts.
- Issue Section 20 notices and liaise with the repairs team on major works projects.
- Process Right to Buy applications and conduct necessary fraud checks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and internal/external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records using IT systems such as Microsoft Office, Orchard, and Locata.
- Review and improve policies and procedures related to leasehold management.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in leasehold services and customer service environments.
- Working knowledge of leasehold management and arrears recovery.
- Competent in IT packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work empathetically with diverse residents.
- Flexibility to attend evening meetings and work outside normal hours if required.
