To help us continue to grow our offerings, we're in search of a product manager for a new platform product offering. The Product Manager of our Consumer Instalment Payments solution will coordinate and provide input into the development and delivery of this product offering and will represent the company in their collaboration with partners and customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Strategic planning and management of the consumer instalment payments product
- Work closely with the Head of Consumer Instalment Payments to execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap, in order to establish the company as a leading provider ofconsumer instalments
- Drive engagement across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the delivery of the product to all new customers
- Manage Performance Indicators across the product
- Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company
- Analyse consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships
- Analyse product requirements and develop appropriateprograms to ensure they're successful achieved
- Develop, implement, and maintain project timelines across multiple departments
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Credit Partners and its features across primary market segments
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in business studies, information technology or similar
- Good understanding of Agile working practicesand LEAN and SCRUM proficiency and workingcollaboratively across teams.
- Experience gained inthe management of technology projects.
- Highly effective cross-functional teammanagement including managing internal andexternal stakeholders on varying levels
- Some experience overseeing the productdevelopment lifecycle and experience deliveringfinely tuned product solutions
- Good understanding of Product lifecycles, valueproposition creation, design thinking, andmanaging a dynamic product.
- Quickly learn and understand the product from a businessperspective,
be able to direct our technology partner in refining anddelivering the technology platform, - Oversee the project for delivery to our first customer (a tier1 bank based in Johannesburg),manage and maintain strong productive relationships withall external and internal stakeholders
