Essential Skills
This is a role for an experienced leader—beginners and mid-level candidates will not be considered. We are looking for someone with the following key competencies:
Conceptualization & Creative Strategy
- Conceptual Design Mastery: Ability to conceptualize and design creative ideas that convert, not just "look good."
- Sales Funnel Thinking: Mastery of the Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion stages of the customer journey, with the ability to create strategic creative tailored to each stage.
- Storyboarding Expertise: Ability to map out complete campaign narratives using storyboards, illustrating the step-by-step flow of a campaign's visual story.
Creative Production & Execution
- Animation & Motion Design: Hands-on ability to create dynamic animated assets that captivate and convert audiences.
- Multi-Format Asset Adaptation: Mastery in taking one creative concept and scaling it across multiple formats, including static, animated, and dynamic creative.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) with advanced knowledge of motion design.
- Hands-On Production: Ability to produce high-quality creative independently and oversee the production of creatives at scale.
Performance Marketing Expertise
- Campaign Analytics: Knowledge of key metrics like CTR, ROAS, and conversion rates and the ability to inform creative decisions with data-driven insights.
- Platform-Specific Design: Expertise in creating platform-specific assets for Facebook, Google, Instagram, and Display Networks, with knowledge of ad formats, sizes, and platform best practices.
- Data-Driven Approach: Capacity to evaluate campaign performance, make creative optimizations, and increase conversions.
Brand Leadership & Communication
- Brand Builder: Ability to maintain and protect brand identity across all creative assets, while also enhancing brand recognition and driving brand loyalty.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with performance marketers, sales teams, and production teams to ensure alignment on goals and deadlines.
- Client-Facing Skills: Strong ability to present creative ideas and production workflows to clients and stakeholders.
General Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Creative Lead, Senior Art Director, or Performance Art Director with a focus on digital campaigns and performance marketing.
- Proven experience delivering campaigns that drive tangible performance outcomes (CTR, ROAS, conversions).
- Super Strong portfolio that shows a range of creative concepts, brand storytelling, and performance-driven campaigns.
- Solid experience producing multi-channel campaigns that scale across multiple European markets.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams of designers, freelancers, and production managers.
