The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of event management experience, a passion for community, strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills, and prepared to travel and work non-standard hours. (Time off in lieu will be granted).
The role focuses on achieving regional donor recruitment targets through effective planning, execution, and management of physical and virtual donor drives.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, managing relationships, and educating the public on blood disorders and donor registration.
- Generating leads, engaging with local media, and training initiators while ensuring adherence to quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Projects will target diverse communities, young people, and patients, requiring coordination across departments to meet deadlines and objectives.
Requirements: - Recognised event management qualification or appropriate level of experience of event management.
- 1-3 years' event management experience.
- Drivers license and preferably own car.
- Existing knowledge and experience of donor recruitment would be advantageous.
- Understanding of quality assurance systems.
- Understanding of/or ability to work with data/analyse data.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- revious experience of working with different cultural groups and nationalities.
- Previous experience of working with the media would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to speak more than one South African language
- Strong organisational skills.
