To create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for parts and vehicles for internal and external supply chains, ensuring successful implementation of engineering changes while preventing production disruptions and optimizing supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- BOM Management:
- Convert Engineering BOMs (E/BOM) into Production BOMs (P/BOM).
- Provide accurate BOMs to Just-in-Time (JIT), Just-in-Sequence (JIS), and kit suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve P/BOM data queries.
- Engineering Change Implementation:
- Evaluate and input engineering changes into the change management system.
- Ensure smooth timing for introducing changes, considering factors like inventory, lead times, and customer requirements.
- Manage temporary P/BOM adjustments to avoid line stoppages and ensure permanent corrections are documented.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Oversee new component requests to ensure continuous material supply.
- Identify and address BOM discrepancies, ensuring corrective actions.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze BOM data for process optimization and ensure adherence to production requirements.
Qualification Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in:
- Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering
- Production Management/Supply Chain Management/Logistics
- Information Technology/Data Science
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years in automotive logistics.
