Counsellor / Educational Psychologist

The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an education setting and be registered with the HPCSA.
- Have the necessary technical expertise, including psycho-educational assessments, play therapy, individual and group therapy, parent guidance, case management, facilitating skills development workshops, staff and parent developmental workshops, and the ability to build transformation and diversity capacity and support amongst our stakeholders.
- Have experience and competence in therapeutic interventions with small children up to adults.
- Ability to manage crisis interventions.
- Ability to deal with academic support and study skills, as well as accommodations and concessions.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team dedicated to the school’s psychological, social, and emotional needs as well as administrative requirements both within the school and the boarding environment.
- Appreciate working in a values-driven, Christian environment.
- Be required to uphold the ethos and traditions of the School.
- Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register.
