The incumbent will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and evaluating day-to-day accounting activities for the franchise/store. Duties include the full bookkeeping function from the source documentation to trial balances and record of day-to-day financial transactions, which include going through purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The incumbent will develop and/or implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, recording, and reporting financial information. The incumbent will also be expected to perform day-to-day admin functions. This role is more admin than finance based.
Key responsibilities include:
- Payment Handling: Oversee payments and cash handling processes.
- Support Functions: Provide cashier support and manage bank reconciliations.
- Fidelity CIT Oversight: Manage cash-in-transit processes with Fidelity.
- Training & Vendor Coordination: Conduct staff training and manage vendor relationships.
- Supplier Management: Handle supplier relations and purchase order processing.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports.
- Order Management: Process orders and requests efficiently.
- System Oversight: Manage systems and user access.
Requirements
- Senior Certificate or NQF4 equivalent.
- Degree/Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
- An Admin qualification is advantageous.
- Valid code B driver’s license and own transport (would be advantageous).
- Passed credit and criminal checks.
- S.A. Citizen or valid work permit for S.A.
