Key Responsibilities: - Wire Diagram Creation and Maintenance:
- Create and update electrical wire diagrams based on project specifications and standards.
- Develop custom symbols for components not present in the database using specialized tools.
- Save and organize wire diagrams using standard naming conventions and templates.
Component and Wire Assignments: - Assign appropriate manufacturer parts, part numbers, and specifications to components in the diagrams.
- Ensure all wires are labelled accurately with loom numbers, wire sizes, and categories.
- Add shielded cables with detailed specifications, including colours and part types.
Documentation and Reporting: - Generate and maintain key reports, such as Bills of Materials (BOM) and Wire Reports, to aid procurement and installation.
- Track and document progress on assigned tasks and ensure timely submission of reports to supervisors.
Loom Assembly Design: - Assist in designing loom assemblies to streamline the installation of wire bundles.
Quality Review and Integration: - Review diagrams for accuracy and make necessary revisions.
- Collaborate with the team to finalize and prepare diagrams for upload into drawing management systems.
Qualifications and Skills: - Certificate or diploma in Electrical Draughting or a related field (degree holders will be considered only as a last resort).
- Proficiency in electrical drafting tools and software, like SolidWorks electrical or AutoCAD Electrical
- Familiarity with wiring standards and electrical components.
- Ability to manage time effectively and track progress using basic reporting methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills (but not required): - Experience with drawing/data management systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing or installation processes in relevant industries.
