CAREER OPPORTUNITY Santam's Merit Claims division has a position available for Manager: Merit Motor Claims. This position will be based in Cape Town and will report to the National Manager: Merit Motor Claims.
PURPOSE The purpose of the role will be to manage the team of Motor Merit Field Assessors responsible for investigating suspicious and potential fraudulent claims. Ensuring that all flagged and segmented Motor Claims are comprehensively investigated to achieve conclusive results and coordinating all claims investigation efforts with relevant stakeholders e.g. Forensic Services, Insurance Crime Bureau (SAICB).
JOB DESCRIPTION • Manages and leads a team of Merit Claims Assessors
• Ensure ongoing development of resources by mentoring, guidance, and both formal and informal training.
• Ensuring effective management of high-quality standards.
• Reporting on effective management of claims.
• Drive customer centricity in line with the Santam way.
• Prioritize, allocate, manage and monitor investigation of high merit risk claims.
• Effective merit claims investigation of appropriate quality.
• Consultation with clients, third parties, business, and business partners on a continuous basis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Matric/Grade 12
• Degree in Legal or Forensic Qualification will be advantageous
• Advanced knowledge of the short-term insurance industry
• Relevant experience in the investigation of fraudulent claims
• Management experience in a similar environment.
