Job Description
A well-known export beverage company in the wine industry is looking for a talented part-time Bookkeeper / Administrator to join their finance team and support the financial operations of their international office in Zambia. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, coupled with a keen ability to work with various currencies and maintain a high level of accuracy in their work. This is a part-time, in-office position 2,5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Data entry
Assist with updating Cash Book
Help to maintain Accounts Receivable Function:
o Assist with invoicing
o Open new customer accounts
Help to maintain Accounts Payable Function:
o Capture local supplier invoices
o Capture monthly invoices from suppliers
o Reconcile accounts as needed
Capture petty cash expenses and ensure accounts match physical cash on hand
Work closely with internal and external parties in Zambia and South Africa; accounting firm, company auditors and clearing agents
Assist with website administration and stock / pricing updates for online store
Other administrative duties as required
Requirements

Recognised Bookkeeping Certificate or qualification (preferably Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field)
Two years' experience working in accounts payable and receivable and general ledger
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferable
Understanding of tax, VAT and cash flow computations
Good understanding of the accounting implications of dealing with FOREX
Excellent attention to detail
