About the role
The IT Intern will assist the IT team in providing technical support, developing system solutions, and possibly contributing to software development projects. This role offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in various aspects of IT operations and projects within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of system solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to software development projects, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects, such as network upgrades and system migrations.
- Assist in the documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Collaborate with IT team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry.
- Assist with routine IT tasks, such as software installations, system updates, and inventory management.
- Follow IT security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems.
- Complete assigned tasks and projects within designated timeframes and with a high level of quality
Requirements Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Basic understanding of IT concepts and principles.
Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
