One of our Manufacturing companies in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced and results-driven
Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team. This critical leadership role will oversee a dynamic team of 25+ professionals, focusing on optimizing our order-to-cash process, managing credit risk, and driving team performance to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities: As the
Accounts Receivable Manager , you will:
- Lead and mentor the AR team to ensure efficient, compliant, and timely customer invoice processing, collections, and cash application.
- Develop strategies to improve KPIs for the invoice-to-cash process and reduce overdue debt.
- Manage credit risk by implementing robust credit policies, conducting solvency checks, and reducing bad debt.
- Oversee the month-end AR closing process, ensuring accurate cash allocations, provisions, and revenue recognition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve credit and payment issues effectively.
- Drive individual and team performance improvement through training, coaching, and performance management.
- Champion process improvements and automation projects to enhance AR efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
What Were Looking For: - Qualifications: Bachelors Degree required; a Masters Degree is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- 6-8 years in a senior credit management role, with at least 5 years in FMCG.
- Proven experience managing large teams and fostering team development.
- Expertise with SAP and exposure to automation/digitization projects.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial acumen with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
