Job Description
The suitable candidate is responsible for overseeing the company's financial processes, ensuring the accurate capture of financial transactions, and performing reconciliations to provide timely financial information. This role supports effective financial management and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Candidate must be available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
Monthly and Annual Financial Processing (20%)
Manage the processing of monthly and annual financial transactions to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow report.
Accounts Payable (40%)
Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring all supplier invoices are processed promptly and accurately.
Manage payment runs, supplier reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies in payments.
Accounts Receivable (10%)
Monitor and process all incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording of receivables.
Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with resolving any outstanding customer payment issues.
Payroll (20%)
Ensure accurate processing of employee payroll, including tax calculations, statutory deductions, and employee benefits.
Maintain payroll records and liaise with external parties (e.g., SARS, retirement fund administrators).
Ad-hoc and Teamwork (10%)
Assist with ad-hoc financial projects, audits, and reporting as needed.
Work collaboratively with the finance team and other departments to improve processes and resolve financial matters.
Requirements
- Bookkeeping
- Syspro experience is essential
- Experience working on PaySpace competence and insight
- ERS competence
- Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of SARS E-Filing processes and legislation
- Working knowledge of Company Leave, HR policies and agreements, and the BCEA
