ISE Customer Facing Colleague Insights Sr. Manager (m/f/d) Germany
Location: Berlin
As a function in the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) division within Pfizer, Insights Strategy & Execution (ISE) plays a critical role to enable Pfizer's commercial brand strategy. This team functions as internal consultants and brand strategists that partner with commercial and cross-functional leaders, activating data driven problem solving in a way that the business can execute to drive impact and unlock value.
The ISE Customer Facing Colleague (CFC) Insights (CFCi) is accountable for the delivery of high quality and impactful strategic business decision support to CFCs, CFC leadership and country/cluster business leaders in Germany. The role serves as the primary ISE relationship manager to the local sales leaders
This person will lead CFC effectiveness measurement, ensure CFC teams are trained to use relevant CFC reports, and ensure CFC insights are incorporated into the broader country GTM strategy. The role serves as the primary ISE relationship manager to the local sales leaders.
The ISE CFCi will also partner closely with relevant GCA teams responsible for the delivery of CFC reporting and customer data management and stewardship to ensure delivery of quality and strategically aligned CFC reporting. This person will also work with fellow ISE colleagues and others in GCA to ensure CFC insights are incorporated into overall GTM strategy. We are looking for an experienced flexible problem solver with demonstrated leadership.
Reporting to the Germany ISE Lead, the ISE CFC Insights (CFCi) will serve as the CFC data & analytics expert to Germany sales teams. Key accountabilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
-Lead the delivery of robust, standardized data / reporting solutions (e.g. iPlan, Smart) to the Customer Facing Colleague (CFC), Account Management (AM), and BU leadership including key executional and FF / AM effectiveness metrics.
-In partnership with Customer Facing Effectiveness (CFE) leads (where relevant) drive the identification of insights on CFC performance, leveraging CFC Data
-Proactively partner as the SME for CFC data with CFE leads and senior country / cluster Commercial Sales Leadership (e.g. BU lead, Sales Lead) with a deep understanding of the business landscape and Business Unit strategies to determine key priorities and their impact on optimizing activities.
-Lead requirements & change management for reporting solutions, including major change events (e.g. new approvals, launches) as well as emerging needs based on regular business dynamics. Solicit field input via focus groups or other feedback mechanisms, where applicable.
-Ensure strong partnership with cross functional stakeholders including CFE, Pfizer Digital, Biopharma Operations (BOPS), Global Business Solutions (GBS) and other teams as needed to provision solutions.
-Ensure timely delivery of FF, Account Management, and brand KPIs in the areas of sales performance, sales / AM execution, and sales / AM effectiveness via platform solutions and in partnership with CFE.
-Maintain accuracy of geographical assignments data and maintenance of account / rep targeting data in operational and data stewardship systems
-Effectively collaborate across CA&AI verticals on the delivery of advanced analytics to assess CFC effectiveness, including predictive modeling, data science and machine learning, as needed
-Directly inform the roadmap for and enhancements of CFC Reporting and Stewardship solutions through robust understanding of local market dynamics, CFC KPI needs and data trends
-Proactively deliver CFC training to ensure sales teams have the understanding and capabilities to optimally leverage CFC-facing reporting tools to expected level
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline
- 10+ years of multi-disciplinary experience with a preference for exposure to business analytics/finance, marketing, engineering, or other quantitative field
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in Germany
- Demonstrated experience across analytics capabilities including data analytics, data reporting & visualization, and customer analysis
- Power user with Tableau and Excel
- Ability to act as a strategic partner to commercial leadership
- Capacity to quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility
