Would you like to play a central role in our story? We are currently looking for an experienced software engineer to join our team of medical and software experts. You will be a key player in driving our customer's experience with our web-based software, from the intuitive management of medical data to full-featured 3D procedure planning in the browser. To achieve this, you will work in close collaboration with the product manager, designer, medical experts and other developers working on algorithms and cloud infrastructure and have many chances to expand your skills.

Strong development skills (programming in TypeScript / Python, software architecture and design, data modeling, unit and integration testing, API-oriented engineering, web application security, …);
At least 3 years of full-time experience in a professional setting of designing, developing and supporting complex, cloud software with frameworks such as React, FastAPI, Kubernetes, AWS, etc;
Excellent knowledge of the modern web browser as platform for full-featured applications - e.g. event loops, WebWorkers, cache, memory profiling, SSEs/WebSockets, CSPs, memory / energy saver modes are terms you do not just know from reading;
A self-organized, proactive working style which allows you to drive solutions to interesting and complex challenges while adapting to frequently changing requirements and situations;
The proven capability to communicate technical solutions, their constraints and progress on work also to stakeholders outside the development team;
Joy in mentoring more junior colleagues and growing your skills together;
The delivery of high-quality documentation as your second nature - for us this is especially important to prove the quality of our medical products to external stakeholders;
Bonus Qualifications

Experience with leading development teams (e.g. you have worked as a lead developer, scrum master or similar);
Experience with 3D programming (e.g. WebGL) - its visualization, user interactions and the math around it;
Experience with machine / deep learning in a production context (e.g. PyTorch, data management, model deployment and monitoring);
Experience with medical data standards like DICOM, HL7/FHIR;
Experience in working in a regulated medical context (e.g. MDR, IEC 62304, GDPR).
