We are looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer with design, maintenance and assessment experience to join our Transportation team based in Salford. The position involves undertaking and overseeing simple and complex analysis, design and assessment work as well as feasibility and maintenance strategies for various highway structures. Is this you?

Location: Salford - remote working available, with travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours
Salary: £45,000 - £50,500 per annum + private healthcare + matched pension + benefits
Responsibilities
As a Senior BridgeEngineer, you'll be working within the Kier Design Solutions team. You will be undertaking and overseeing bridge maintenance projects including structural bridge assessments, design and check calculations and feasibility studies, assisting in the overall delivery of the workload of the Structures Bridge team within the Design Solutions office.
Your day to day will include:
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the programme of work by producing, developing and overseeing sound bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale
- Developing and designing solutions in accordance with National design standards
- Production and overseeing of designs that comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations
- Contribute to the regular reporting of progress to clients by communicating with line managers regarding their progress against planned programme .
Who are we looking for?
This role of a Senior Bridge Engineer is great if you are:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar role within Highways
- Proven experience of bridge design standards and analysis
- Management and delivery of projects to programme and budget constraints
