Well established firm of attorneys are looking for a Junior Attorney to join their team. Our client is looking for an individual that has recently completed their articles and is due to be admitted or preferably a junior attorney.
Overview of role:
- Drafting summonses, applications, affidavits and other legal process
- Having affidavits attested
- Registering on, loading and effectively utilising CaseLines and Court Online to keep track of and monitor progress made in matters assigned
- Profiling and proceeding with legal action against juristic entities and sureties
- Conducting deceased estate and insolvency searches
- Corresponding with liquidators; trustees and executors
- Liaison with correspondent attorneys, the courts, sheriffs
- Providing opinions in relation to credit law and changes to legislation
- Responding to court queries
- Preparing reports ahead of meetings with debtors
- Ensuring that legal action against debtors is instituted when necessary
- Appearing in court when required to so
- Preparing briefs to counsel
- Drafting templates
- Dealing with post judgment accounts, including warrants of execution and bank account attachments.
