Namibia , and we are currently looking for a
Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join their leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced risk professional with a strong background in credit risk management to play a key role in shaping the risk strategy of a developing business within an internationally recognized brand.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and implementation of the companys risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the organizations objectives and risk tolerance align.
- Work closely with senior management to provide strategic risk insights and support decision-making.
- Ensure all risk management processes are integrated into business operations and align with the companys growth ambitions.
Qualifications & Experience Required: - A minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, with a significant focus on credit risk .
- Proven expertise in risk analysis, strategic risk management, and the ability to oversee complex risk landscapes.
- Relevant academic qualifications in risk management, finance, economics, or a related field (e.g., CFA, FRM , or equivalent).
- A strong understanding of financial products, credit evaluation, and the broader market risks.
- Experience in a senior risk management role, ideally within a global or rapidly growing business.
- Knowledge of local regulatory environments in Namibia, with experience working in emerging markets being a strong advantage.
