If you are a qualified Financial Accountant with strong technical skills and a desire to develop your planning and analysis capabilities, this may be the role for you.
Reporting into the Head of Accounting, with key focuses being month-end deliverables, audit co-ordination and external reporting, with some time dedicated to supporting FP&A in areas such as budgeting and forecasting, revenue reporting and monthly analysis as required. You will be expected to crunch the numbers but also provide added value and insightful advice and recommendations across the organisation. This will include liaising with Senior Finance members and key stakeholders across the business and the wider Finance Community.
How You Will Make an Impact - Financial Reporting: support the preparation and submission of regular reporting externally and to the group finance team (on a monthly and quarterly basis), as well as year-end statutory accounts.
- Audit: Contribute to the audit process and coordinating audit deliverables. This will include preparation of the year end stat packs across a number of entities and notes and ensuring that efficiencies and learnings from previous year-ends and audits are implemented.
- Financial Control: Control of the balance sheet, including ownership, preparation, review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in line with both Group IFRS reporting and local FRS 101 reporting.
- External Reporting: prepare the submission of all external reporting requirements, including to the Department of Health and Office for National Statistics.
- Business Planning: Support and contribute to the company budget and forecasting requirements on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Influencing: Collaborate with our winder finance team and commercial stakeholders to maintain a strong internal control environment ensuring our procedures and controls are in place and adhered to.
What We Are Looking For - Proven experience within either a practice background or in a medium-large organisation.
- Professionally qualified through ACA or ACCA.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and quickly develop rapport with others.
- Experience in managing internal stakeholder expectations particularly during periods of high-volume work (budget/forecast deliverables, end-of-month, year-end reporting etc).
- Robust organizational and project management skills, adept at multitasking and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
- A champion of ethics who promotes integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism consistently.
You will be expected to be present on site for a minimum of 3 days per week. In order to be considered for this role you MUST be living within a commutable distance at the time of application.
