We are looking for a globally minded Head of Strategic Business Field Optical Industry (m/f/d). The position is located in Mainz with the flexibility to combine remote work with on-site presence.
Your Contribution
- You will have P&L responsibility and accountability for our SBF Optical Industry
- You will develop, control and steer the strategy and business activities of the SBF
- You will manages existing and new product portfolio by creating sales and marketing concepts for all SBF products
- You identify and seize opportunities to help us expand into new markets, regions and customer groups to generate additional sales.
- You have to oversee and lead a dedicated team responsible for bringing new products to market with clearly defined value
- You are responsible for the development of a competitive product portfolio with the aim of increasing sales and margins.
- You will manage, promote and motivate the employees in your area of responsibility
Your Profile
- Degree in industrial engineering or engineering/natural sciences and additional training in business administration
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales/product management or operations in the respective industry at B2B level
- Entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of finance and controlling to capitalize on strategic opportunities
- Excellent communicator with the ability to network and lead interdisciplinary teams across cultures
- Strong analytical skills and a tech-savvy, customer-focused mindset to turn innovative ideas into business opportunities
- Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
