Our client, a reputable and growing company based in Dereham, is looking to expand their team in the new year with the addition of a Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work within a close-knit team and support the smooth operation of the full finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with payroll processing and preparation of VAT returns.
- Handle queries from suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role is desirable.
- AAT qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team.
