MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide Information and Communication Technology administration and user support services which includes network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems and resolve ICT related incidents to ensure proper functioning of the Seda Provincial Network.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Implement and monitor user compliance to ICT policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures in line with approved Seda’s ICT requirements.
- Implement Seda’s ICT Infrastructure Security which includes ICT Disaster Recovery and Service Continuity Plans within the Provincial Network.
- Implement ICT strategic initiatives in line with Seda ICT strategic plan.
- Resolve Seda ICT related incidents within the Provincial Network.
- Administer Provincial ICT budgeting and procurement in line with ICT strategic plan.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Matric (NQF Level 4) and National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information and Communication Technology coupled with recognised industry certifications.
- Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information and Communication Technology coupled with recognised industry certifications will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 4 – 6 years’ experience in Information Communication Technology environment of which 2 years should have been implementing Information and Communication Technology related projects.
- Prior experience in network management, scripting, programming, and system administration.
- Comprehensive experience as an Information Technology strategist with a wide variety of skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the developments in the Information Technology industry.
- Understanding of ICT governance frameworks and quality standards e.g. COBIT and ITIL.
- Knowledge of ICT acquisition processes and principles.
