Description: Mercer Marsh Benefits has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Consultant: Retirement to join our team based in Sandton. This position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with a proven background within retirement fund consulting looking to join an established team with a market-leading insurance broker. This is a full-time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week including Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

We will count on you to:
In conjunction with the Client Executive:
- Consult to a portfolio of clients
- Provide appropriate advice, excellent client service and project management to ensure the smooth running of the client base
- Establish strong relationships with key decision makers, management committee members, and service providers
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are on file for all clients and services are provided in line with SLA
- Ensure client contact details are accurate
- Develop an annual year plan for each client and ensure adherence to deliverables
- Prepare agendas for management committee meetings and ensure distribution in line with SLA
- Attend management committee meetings and other ad hoc meetings as required
- Ensure minutes of meetings are accurate and complete and ensure that they are distributed in line with SLA
- Ensure matters arising from meetings are actioned timeously
- Carry out and present risk and administration re-marketing exercises
- Coordinate and conduct member roadshows and client inductions.
- Ensure timeous response to queries from global colleagues
- Attend regular meetings with administrators/service providers regarding the status of funds
- Negotiate with insurers/service providers
- Identification of cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the client base
- Attend regular meetings with the team to discuss workflow and problem areas
- Ensure commissions are paid on time and accurately.
- Foster good working relationships with clients, staff, manager, and internal divisions
- Keep abreast of industry developments
What you need to have:
- A three-year related qualification
- Further studies an advantage
- RE5
What makes you stand out?
Minimum two years’ experience in the retirement fund and group risk consulting field.
Other requirements:
- Driver's license and own transport
- Must be/have been registered as a FAIS representative for both advice and intermediary services for the relevant categories and be FAIS compliant.
