Human Resource Manager
Diggersrest Timber Company situated in Tzaneen, Limpopo, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to head the Human Resource Department. The Human Resource Manager will oversee and implement HR strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals. The role involves talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute HR policies, procedures, and strategies in line with organisational goals.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
- Manage the recruitment process, including talent sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and regulations.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Administer payroll and benefits programs in collaboration with finance team.
- Maintain the work structure by updating work instructions and job descriptions for all positions.
- Conduct performance management and appraisal processes.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a managerial HR role.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and ability to manage a team.
- Proficiency in SAGE Payroll and Microsoft Office.
- Problem-solving mindset with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
