Unit Manager Engineering Capital Projects

Location: Gauteng, West Rand District, Westonaria

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Mining

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Medically fit to work in the specific business area
Clear security screening record
Professional Certification with ECSA
Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
GCC (Mine Health and Safety act) will be advantageous; candidate will be carrying a 2.13.1 Appointment signed by the 3.1a Manager

Education

National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Advanced certificate in Project Management

Experience

At least 7 years’ experience in a related role, of which 2 years should have been at a management level or experience in a functional/specialist area. At least 5 years’ in a project office within a mining environment.

Regulatory compliance within the mining industry
Stakeholder management
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
