As a Debt Collection Agent, you will play a critical role in managing outstanding accounts, recovering debts, and providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with customers to understand their financial situations, negotiate payments, and provide them with flexible repayment solutions. Your sales skills will help you engage customers effectively, while your debt collection experience will ensure that you meet targets and adhere to all compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Contact individuals with overdue accounts via phone, email, or written correspondence.
Negotiate payment arrangements and repayment terms with customers, ensuring that payment plans are realistic and manageable.
Utilize your sales skills to persuade and motivate customers to settle their debts while maintaining a positive and professional relationship.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and offering payment solutions that suit the customer’s financial position.
Maintain accurate records of communication and payment schedules using our CRM system.
Meet and exceed monthly debt recovery targets.
Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with the team to improve debt recovery processes and customer experience.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in debt collection or credit control, with a track record of successfully recovering outstanding payments.
Strong background in sales, ideally in a customer-facing role, with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
Previous experience in customer care, handling inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Excellent communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and an empathetic approach to customer interactions.
Goal-oriented and motivated to achieve and exceed targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
