Co-Lab Industries , a leading supplier of headwear and accessories to the local retail industry, is seeking a young, dynamic, and highly organized administrator to join their head office in Newlands West, Durban.

1. Job Purpose

To liaise between all departments in the company, including Warehouse, Merchandising Dept, and Packaging Company, and manage the workload effectively.

2. Key Duties

Business Information and Support

Assess production performance and develop a business plan to address and manage issues effectively under direction from Product Merchandiser.
Develop an effective network of communication to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activity.

Budget Support

Attend meetings weekly to review performance to budget/target.

Daily tasks:

Download production reports from Swift and send to suppliers weekly, following up on comments from suppliers.
Process all fit/pp/bulk samples – swatches and lab dips to buyers/fashion merchandisers and factories for Cape Town customers only.
Handover bulk seal samples to in-house Q.A. before bulk shipment arrives.
Handover to warehouse and packaging company in full – 15 days before delivery month.
Chase counts from warehouse and packaging company for invoicing.
Reconcile jobs once orders are invoiced.
Store samples according to established procedures.

Shipping

Track and record expected time of arrival shipping dates against customer’s delivery date requirements.

3. Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Minimum Matric level of education. Relevant tertiary qualification preferred, i.e. National Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration.
Ability to add value to a positive and productive team.
Superior interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of computer literacy with proficiency in Excel, Word, and relevant ERP or Supply Chain systems.
Good working knowledge of retailer’s requirements.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Solid organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
