Our client in Cape Town has a permanent role for a House Manager / Facilities Manager.

Job Overview: The House Manager will be responsible for the overall management and upkeep of two properties, Bishops Court, and Hidden Valley (Stellenbosch), with a primary residence at Bishops Court. This role encompasses facility management, oversight of VIP vehicles at Hidden Valley, and general caretaking duties to ensure both properties are maintained to the highest standards.

This role is available to South African, African Males only.

Reports To: Head of Security & Facilities

Key Responsibilities:

1.Facility Management:

oOversee daily operations of both Bishops Court and Hidden Valley properties.

oEnsure all facilities, including buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, are maintained in excellent condition.

oCoordinate and supervise maintenance, repairs, and renovations as needed.

oManage relationships with contractors, service providers, and suppliers.

oDevelop and implement maintenance schedules for regular upkeep of the properties.

oEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

2.VIP Vehicle Management:

oOversee the maintenance and upkeep of VIP vehicles based at Hidden Valley.

oSchedule regular servicing and inspections of all VIP vehicles.

oEnsure vehicles are always in optimal condition and ready for use.

oCoordinate with drivers and ensure proper usage and handling of vehicles.

3.General Caretaking:

oEnsure both properties are kept clean, organized, and presentable always.

oSupervise household staff, including cleaners, gardeners, and drivers.

oManage inventory of household supplies and ensure timely replenishment.

oHandle any ad-hoc tasks and emergencies that may arise in the management of the properties.

Qualifications:

•South African Citizen

•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property or facility management.

•No Criminal Record

•Proven experience in managing high-end residential properties.

•Strong organizational and leadership skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities.

•Proficiency in using property management software and tools.

•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Proven experience in managing high-end residential properties.

•Experience in managing VIP vehicles and coordinating with high-profile clients.

•Knowledge of local property regulations and compliance standards.
