For our growing global R&D team in Schweinfurt we are looking for a Design/Development Engineer (m/f/d) for precision bearings, spindle bearings, machine tool bearings and high speed applications with immediate effect.

You will be part of the global C&U R&D team with focus on machines tools and bearing applications
According to customers requirements formulation product specifications and methods
You are also responsible for the design of precision bearings
You will be mainly responsible for creating design guidelines and support the knowledge management on high precision bearings inside C&U R&D
Planning and implementation of product research and development in this field
Analysis and application of product patents
Implementation of product technical training courses

Bachelor/Master Degree or higher (mechanical engineering, machine tool engineering, or related technical disciplines eg. automobile)
More than 10 years experience on bearing design with specialization on machine tool bearings or high speed spindle bearings for machine tools or precise angular contact ball bearings
Multiple years experience in high precision, high speed spindle applications preferably
Strong mechanical design skills, including experience in tribology
Experience on high precision/ machine tool bearing manufacturing and testing process
Experience on CAD design tools
Must be proficient with the MS office package
Must have personality traits that include integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy and a can-do, positive attitude
Solid communication skills (both written/verbal) in English, preferably ability to speak also in German or Chinese
