Furniture Assembly Operative, Woodwork, Tools, Stoke to 22,500

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Furniture Assembly Operative to join one of the world leading leisure and manufacturing brands. They are looking for a Furniture Operative to work within a team to effectively manufacture casino furniture and support the Team Leader to ensure products are to the required quality standards and delivered on time.

Responsibilities and Duties

General understanding of drawings and assembly instructions
Knowledge of wood, MDF, plywood, metal and textile component assembly
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Manufacture and assembly of high-quality products
Laminating Product
Using hand-held tools

Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
Produce products with a high degree of accuracy
Interpret scheduled documentation
Adhere and promote your awareness to all health & safety rules

Required Experience and Qualifications

Experience of working with wood and wood manufacturing is an advantage
Joinery experience
Level 2 or above qualification in bench joinery or similar
CNC operating experience preferred but not essential
Ability to use woodworking machinery including saws, drills, routers and planers
Good communication ( written and verbal)
Working within a continuous improvement environment
Problem solving and creativity
Working to high quality and compliance
