We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Red Seal Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Volvo and Man trucks and particularly in the repair and maintenance of trailers. This role includes being on standby to provide support as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on Fleet Vehicles.
Service and maintain a fleet of trailers to ensure they are roadworthy and comply with safety regulations.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles to minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete repairs promptly.
Collaborate with the team to ensure high standards of work and compliance with company and legal regulations.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Be available for standby duty and responding to emergency repair calls as needed.
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Desired Experience & Qualification :

Red Seal Certification as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
Experience working with Volvo & Man trucks.
Use and understand diagnostic equipment.
Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
Operate electrical and mechanical equipment pertaining to the job, i.e. power tools.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems efficiently, and complete repairs to a high standard.
Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts and be on standby for emergencies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
