Position: MIG Welder and Fabricator
Location: Swanscombe
Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday available: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Overtime: Available

Pay Rate: £17.00-£20.00 per hour, paid weekly

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Key Responsibilities:

Sub-Assemblies: Manufacture sub-assemblies using MIG welding to support main assembly bays.
Main Assemblies: Produce main assemblies by MIG welding up to the paint stage.
Finishing: Sand and grind components or assemblies to remove splatter and ensure optimal fit.
Assembly: Use power and hand tools to assemble all components.
Quality Control: Ensure sound weld joints and a good cosmetic finish.
Process Monitoring: Monitor all welding processes to prevent shrinkage and distortion.
Additional Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift steel components and stand for long periods while manual MIG welding.
Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting 3rd angle projection engineering drawings.
Assessment: Must pass a welding assessment as part of the interview process.
Specialized Experience: Experience with balconies and balustrades is a plus.
