Our client, a successful global corporation and well loved household name, seeks a German Speaking Corporate Counsel to join their legal team.
Critical to the role is an individual with duality of perspective - an excellent handle on German Contract / Commercial law, with a strong appreciation of UK legislation. Your prime focus will be on delivering legal solutions into German territories, (with an appreciation of UK law a secondary consideration).
Your stakeholders will include the internal business and external partners as collectively you navigate the most optimal and legally compliant outcomes for all parties.
Essential qualifications for the role:-

Strong handle on German law, understanding commercial law, drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial contracts with minimal supervision - you will be the go to person in this space
Legal qualifications needed to be able to support the activities above
Fluent German and English language speaking

Expected skillsets for the role include:-

Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tooling
Proven leadership sills and a track record of mentoring and developing others
Natural sensitivity expected around handling confidential information
Strong ethical standards and high degree of professionalism

This role requires an on-site presence at the client's offices in near Staines, Surrey, a minimum 3 days a week, with the ability to work from home 2 days a week. The role does not support full time remote working.
